As part of our efforts to introduce students to the best ideas and brightest minds, we invite Northeastern University undergraduates to join us for dinner with Professor Tommaso Melodia, after his public talk “The Internet of Things: Promises and Pitfalls.” Professor Melodia will be speaking as part of our ongoing Seminar on Leadership, Research, and Innovation 2019.

The dinner will feature a small, intimate conversation with Professor Melodia hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships. Undergraduates are expected to come armed with questions and ready to converse. Professor Melodia is the founding director of Northeastern's new Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things, and his work is on the cutting edge of making wireless communication faster, designing smaller, more effective sensors for interacting with the physical environment, developing artificial intelligence and machine learning programs to make sense of the data, and creating the protections to make sure that information stays secure.
